Seek for Security

First of all, what is the basis of insecurity in our lives?

 A self-focused attitude

Insecurity causes us to miss many opportunities to give out to others due to our constant thinking of “me”. An insecure person will cling to anyone or anything that offers a ray of security. However, it will always leave them lonely and insecure because no one or thing can bring true security.

Here are a few things people seek for security in:

– Relationships

– Style Status

– Economic well-being

– Family

– Politicians

No individual can fulfill every need. No outfit will satisfy. The best of economy will not bring true peace. Tragedies can happen and loves ones can be gone. No Politician can make us feel secure. True security can only be found in our Savior, Jesus Christ.

All these can be taken away in a moment of time, but “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8

God’s love toward us is everlasting! We can be secure in His love!

Security is:

Structuring my life around that which is eternal and cannot be destroyed or taken away.

First, recognize your insecurity, turn your focus away from yourself, and ask God to make you completely secure in Him, the source of all love and security.
